Our Mission

At Ritmo y Apoyo, our mission is to honor the spirit of Quisqueya by standing in solidarity with the Dominican communities who sustain its culture. We are committed to supporting children who are excluded from the school system due to barriers of documentation, economics, or legal status, ensuring access to literacy and education as a foundation for their futures. We provide resources and emergency support for local dancers and artists—the bearers of rhythm, tradition, and creativity—so they can continue to share their gifts without fear of being left behind in moments of crisis. We create pathways for young people to develop as leaders by equipping them with the tools to read, write, learn languages, manage clients, navigate legal systems, and ultimately step into roles as teachers and community changemakers. Our work is rooted in the belief that those who benefit from Dominican culture—whether through dance, music, or travel—have both a responsibility and a beautiful opportunity to give back. Through dignity, consistency, and love, we aim to build bridges of support that uplift individuals while strengthening the heartbeat of Quisqueya for generations to come.
